About the melbourne cup sweep generator
The Melbourne Cup is run at Flemington on the first Tuesday in November, which is Tuesday 3 November in 2026, over 3,200 metres with a field of up to 24 horses. This generator draws your sweep fairly: add everyone’s name, then draw all the horse numbers at once or reveal them one by one on the big screen. Once the final field is announced, paste the horse names in and they appear next to each number.

What if there are more people than horses?
Choose "Draw every horse" and some horses are shared by two people, or sell fewer tickets. With fewer people than horses, everyone gets more than one horse, or choose "One horse per person".
